Here at Tails R Waggin we are committed to not only providing top care for your pets while they are visiting us, but we are also active in our local community.  Here are a few of the local events we have participated in and the 4-H group that we sponsor.

West Columbia Gorge Humane Society is Clark County's only no kill shelter.  This year we printed out their wish list in early December and posted it in the office and on our facebook page.  The donations consisted of; leashes, collars, toys, treats, bags of dog food, cleaning supplies, bleach, laundry detergent and cash donations!  Thank you so much for your donations!

BEACHES ANNUAL BARKFEST AND HOWLOWEEN PARTY!  A lot of our daycare pack attended once again to this yearly event that benefits the South West Washington Himane Society every year.

Cowlitz County Humane Society was in desparate need of blankets, bedding and cots for all their adoptees.  We donated a whole back end of an SUV stuffed with blankets and cash to buy cots for the dogs to slepp on and get them off of the concrete floor.

West Columbia Gorge Humane Society

We held our second annual Santa Paws picture day on December 19th.  Santa had his picture taken 54 times with lots of dogs and people!  We raised over $500, plus donations of food, collars, leashes, treats, blankets and towels.  Visit the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society out in Washougal.  They are Clark County's only No Kill Shelter.

Beaches Howloween 2009

Beaches 3rd Annual Howloween at the Beach Party.  Enjoyed a morning of fun with lots of our daycare dogs and owners at Beaches Restaurant.  Ali and Mark and the whole Beaches crew really know how to throw a dog party.  The place was packed and all the dogs were dressed in their halloween outfits.  This is definitely something to look forward to every year!

Greyhound Pets of America

We donated the daycare so the Greyhound Pets of American could hold a Harvest Party fund raiser for thier organization.  All dogs and their people were invited for fun, games, food and a costume contest.   It was a beautiful fall day and fun was had by all!

Puppy Love By The Sea

Mud and Matua sported the latest in spring fashion in the dog show sponsored by Christine with Puppy Love by the Sea held at the Inn at Cannon Beach.  A reception followed at the Ocean Lodge featuring renowned pen and ink small pet prints artist Leslie Moore. (  Donations of pet food and pet supplies to the Inn at Cannon Beach benefited the Clatsop County Humane Society.  The Inn at Cannon Beach and the Ocean Lodge are both wonderful pet friendly hotels at Cannon Beach.  ( or )

Santa Paws Photos

Charlie dressed up as Santa to help East Padden Animal Hospital and Orchard Hills Animal Hospital raise money for their Guardian Angel Funds. Dogs, cats, children and families took advantage of the opportunity to get their pictures taken with Santa and to help raise money for this fund. Both hospitals raised over $200.00 each to help the less fortunate pets that need it.

FALL / SPRING 2008 - 2009

We donate our daycare space weekly for the kids in grades 3-12 to practice their showmanship (fitting and showing), obedience and rally with their dogs.  This prepares them to enter fun matches during the spring months and eventually the Clark County Fair in August.
